finding appreciation

I hope all is well with you guys out there. It's been a strange day. I couldn't feel much hope

or reason for living in truth. But at a moment of feeling really down, I thought about

what one of my pyschiatrists said to me. He said please appreciate how far you've come.

I thought about that just now - and it's like it cracked the darkness in my mind with a little bit

of light. I started to self appreciate and the light grew. I also started to appreciate that a lot of  people are hurting

and going through times like these as well. Again, with the poem Welcome to Holland, I may not be in Italy - but I appreciate that I am living in Holland and that there are others out there like me....living out there in society at large and making their way in the world. I am doing alright,

I think.. I am doing ALRIGHT ENOUGH. It could be better, it could be worse I do have some things I could follow through on

but for now I am fighting what I have to fight most of the time - and I know I am not alone in that.

So, maybe I can just feel a sense of place with regard to that. Peace and namaste

Thanks arfie. I am reminded of this interesting Japanese tradition of mending broken pottery with gold.
So once the cup or bowl is fixed, all the cracks are filled with gold. There's a philosophical symbolism to it
that I really like. A break mended is more valuable. sending big hugs!!
