Finding a Home 6-2-2021
I looked through the book DHS gave me and we qualified for very few of the programs. Many of them were transistional housing for people with hiv or where drug addicts/alcholics. There was a couple of transitional housing projects we may qualify for. These were serving Portland and we live in Oregon City.
I did hear of promising solution. I spoke to my Dad's gf last night. She had recently seen a 2 br 1 bath moble home or rv. She was thinking about me getting with the money I've been saving for years. I don't know if I need to call her to find our more about it or if she'll look into it and call me.
I know there are more places out there.

are you thinking of renting or buying...very tricky so make sure you have someone check out Everything! Mobile homes can be a Huge Money Pit! I was looking into one to buy for John....research.
If you have money saved, can you put down at least 10/20% on a condo? Or rent on a month to month basis? It sounds like you will Not be homeless if you have money being saved for years.
Careful to not overwhelm yourself with thinking you need to find a job/place to live at the same time. Baby steps to get One thing done, what is your Main Priority?

If you have a Catholic Charities/Elder Services( if you are over 50) sometimes they start at that age... in your area, they might be able to help also
