Find a life and build
Coming back to the monastery, I find the relationships I have with my family but also the responsibilities I have here.
I have a good relationship with my family but I also sense that I live on the outskirts of their grand achievements.
It's ok, it tells me to embrace and work hard to find my life and build. I'm a little old for it but no time like the present!

life should be a series of grand adventures launched from a secure base. ~bluebloods
my recovery from child sex trafficking didn't progress much until i accepted that i already had a life which was the base i had to launch from. patching and securing that base got me a whole lot further than shopping for a life i could call my own. the life god gave me is plenty.
dare i say you already have a life, markus? in the twisted halls of my broken brain, you have been quite busy building upon that secure base. stop shopping for a life and appreciate your life and your accomplishments. keep on building, even when it breaks your heart.
stay true to you. may you one day see yourself through god's love.
Thanks Arfie, that was so beautiful. You’re so precious! Thanks. Very grateful! I need to start valuing myself from the positive like you said. I can’t go with the feelings that I am a ‘throw away’ member of my family.
I’ve heard that comparison is the thief of joy. I so agree with Arfie that you have a life full of achievements. I bet there are others who compare themselves to you and wish they could be more like you.:) Hugs!
Thanks Susan! It’s all relative :) isn’t it. Thanks for the perspective. I will try to appreciate how far I’ve come with such a significant illness.
I think you've been given some wonderful words of wisdom sweets
Big squishy hug...xo
Thanks Janet!
