Finally a little light

It's been a while but I am proud to say I almost drove all the way from San Antonio to Laredo all by myself. I wish it could have been non-stop but my back still hurts but at least my arm wasn't killing me anymore. José and I went to Laredo this past Saturday because we were the God parents at a first communion. We came and went the same day so of course I paid for it later but overall my arm felt better.  The ridge on my head also seems to be doing better, my headaches have not been as frequent and it does not feel as swollen or as big as it did before the surgery. I finally received a letter from Dr. Swanns office saying my fusion looked great but that I must continue to watch my movements for at least another year. The letter also said I could discontinue the use of the bone growth stimulator but I decided it would be best to continue to use it until the batteries run out which won't be much longer. Monday was a horrible day for me because my back was killing me and it was due to all the weekend events especially that trip to Laredo. I was starting to doubt the effectiveness of the surgery but now I know it has helped . I have also decided it would be best to get my lower back surgery soon to see if I can finally stop limping and go back to my speed walking because this slow walking has me feeling kind of old. I'm finally starting to see a tiny light at the end of this pitch black tunnel.
