fighting weakness....
in stories i've read when they speak of weakness they often refer to a newborn foal.....struggling to find his feet, to overcome the shakiness that comes with entering a whole new world.
i think foals are so beautiful, small miracles.......so why do i feel shame after a week in bed, struggling to find my feet? it takes so little to come undone. beleagered strength.
my face is wringing wet after only a few minutes outside. trying to work on a small list of chores......i managed to put a magnetic door attachment on an upper cabinet. you'd think it was like taking on Kangchenju or K2.......i got the supplies a week ago....spray paint, a strip of corner round, wood glue, super glue......
the bathroom mirror looks sorry at the bottom, the silver paint has worn off over the years.......so i thought to come up with a solution. i measured the area 4 times. i figure if a carpenter measures twice to cut once, i'd need to double that plan....fibro fog demands extra care. i got a dark metallic brown that matches the metal in the light fixture.....it's drying in the sun right now. it will need a couple more coats, but in this heat i should be able to glue the strip on later today.
putting on the magnetic door attachment was hard. my grip is pretty pitiful......then i remembered i have a small drill in the garage.........God did me a total solid and I found it easily....first place I looked. AWESOME...high fiving the CREATOR WITH THANKS!
it took a bit of finagling, but that's done.........i am so proud. every little thing i can do myself means alot. this week i was feeling sorry.......physically.......and then the mental sorry got all worked up.......thinking what is the point. ... sorry for me & how.
i let the new corner round sit against the top of the bathroom countertop in it's primed state - it looked good......not the color, but as a solution to hide the aging issue. so simple, why didn't i think of this before? .....brain fog. uh huh, oh yeah.
i touched up the blue table, the white wicker chair.....the giant metal leaf. little things. sara says when it comes to paint her momma is NOT SCARED at all.
i need to pick up at least a dozen cardboard boxes & wrap things in paper. i put all the decorative things in big clear plastic boxes to declutter quickly but didn't pack them for a move.......so if i make it out today i hope to get boxes & a couple of sunday papers. return a necklace to beall's.....honey do's. i'd love a pedicure but hmmm......will i make it outta here in time? we'll see. soooo hot! 89 degrees outside....feels even hotter~
hiring someone to do chores is hard. the first guy wasn't a very hard worker, he did things but not to my satisfaction. i used to manage three industrial warehouses at one time, so i'm pretty good at assesing how long it takes to do work. -------slacking isn't high on my list of things that impress. i could have done everything the first guy did in less than two hours (if i were well, he got paid for four, but NEVER AGAIN)
i got a 2nd guy to come by ---for some reason I thought he would be doing some of the work that day....but no. he said he'd work up a bid first & come back another day. ......my toilet seat is very loose, i asked him if he could tighten it......if he was a caring kind of person he could have tightened it as a matter of safety. he refused to do that or anything else that day. i offered him cash on the spot - he said no. ok........huh. then he sat at my table for two hours after chatting.......and finally asked me for the job. i said i would have to think it over. why? because he took up three hours of time ...both his and mine, he could have made $70 before he left but wouldn't even try. we just don't think alike....the other reason? he told me the total job could take anywhere from 3 hours to 5 hours to all day. he works hourly, if he can't figure out his time better than that how can i have confidence in him to work efficiently......and contractors wonder why they get a bad rap....
enough of my griping.......felt good to get it off my chest. wish i could find a couple of responsible decent honest folks and get some of this stuff done already. frustrating.
sorry forgot to quit GRIPING. i miss you, i'm praying for you....for you, for your health, for your loved ones......for your faith to be steadfast in the midst of storms........for you to know that i care very much and you are not forgotten.
annie, rio and this small sparrow say hi and send out hugggggggs ! mwah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, a newborn foal. That sounds about right. I feel you about being wringing wet when you go outside. I am the same way. Oh, my gosh. It's wretched. Love you.
Have you decided to move for reals? I must have missed that somewhere. I've been so sick with some stomach bug. I was sick for a week, then had a couple of OK days, and I think now it's coming back. It really sucks. :( I hope you're doing better than me! Hi to Annie and Rio!
Good to hear from you Serce. Its hot and humid here too. slows me down .Fritz too.
The guy who sat for three hours, good grief!!! He wouldn't even fix your toilet seat. I wouldn't want

Hi Ruthie! You are doing good. Don't try to get everything done in one day...pace,pace,pace. That guy sounds like a jerk! Hope you didn't hire him. If I lived close by, I'd come over and fix your loose toilet seat.
