Fight the New Drug

I don't know how many of you have struggled with addiction to pornography, but I have. In my brokenness, I sought out an answer for the deep longing in my soul. I sought an answer that would satisfy me in a way that was dark and unwholesome, because many years ago, my uncle taught me that sex was only a tool to hurt me and satisfy men, and served no other purpose. That man raped me and abused me, and years later, even before remembering these horrible things, I found myself a slave to a drug that so eerily replicated my childhood experience. 
I want to take a stand against pornography, and masturbation as well. I've been reading some really powerful articles on this subject. I've done prior research on this topic-- in fact, a good portion of my undergrad degree was used to research what pornography did to women's brains (only because I was in so deep that I thought I could research my way out!). 
I know that the only way I can taste freedom is through Christ. I want desperately to share this information with others. So, I'll just leave this link here. They even have resources to help you find freedom from this addiction, which I'm taking advantage of.

Stand for real love, and against porn. I know from experience that it can only kill, steal and destroy. I know I'm not perfect, but that's not the point. I'm excited about this new, porn-free chapter of my life :)
