feeling the strength of my own life and convictions
I was feeling my self confidence and sense of assurance dipping.
I think at moments like this I need to feel the blessing of God.
I watched a little bit of a televangelist Joel Osteen this morning..
and his message was kind of like that. In so many words - 'when
you don't feel like you've got the blessings from what life serves - know that
God has blessed you and keep on going.'
I am just starting my day - and feeling a sense of self pity a little bit - but
I do know that it's my charge to get on with the day - take care of the things
I need to take care of - and maybe look outside the box to take care of things
for others if I can, and feel good about that -
I need to build myself up - and get on with day.
I wish we, my DS buddies, could meet for coffee and cookies before starting
the day.
But I also feel the strength of my own life and convictions coming through here.
I feel good about what I can control and my consideration of others in my life
who may be more powerful - who may be more successful and so on - and I can
hold onto my life in consideration and respect for those people and things...still
giving myself the regard that I need... It feels very real and humble too but also very
much buoyed...feeling grateful!
Have a good day friends!!

Big hug Marky.... Joel Olsteen is good..... I remember years ago when I was caretaking my folks and I felt super down.... I talked with an Anglican priest and told him that I just don't feel God and he said to me "You don't have to feel him.. You just have to know that he's there'.... Those words helped me through a lot.... Have a good Sunday sweetie... I wish that we could meet for coffee as well.....xo
thanks Janet! !
Here's to a good day for all of us! You're doing the right thing for you!
thanks Mid!
Is it weird that meditating on humility is the greatest self-esteem booster I have found yet? It's okay if I am a few fries short of a Happy Meal and a million questions away from having all the answers. When I let God lead the dance and humbly appreciate the miracles of life which surround me, I doesn't even need to know what tune the CO (Celestial Orchestra) is playing. I'm just here to enjoy the show. The only real mistake I can make in life is to take myself too seriously.
Pass the popcorn. . . It's one hell of a show.
Thanks Arfie. Humility really helps. Right now my energies and spirit is really soaring...way, way too much. I need to accept this is part of the illness too and so humility’s something good to remember.
Yes, a communal cafe with coffee and (healthy) cookies haha.
Perspective is a good thing when assessing your own life and your own realities. I reflect a lot about the spaces I’m surrounded by - the city, the community, the region, the train car, whatever industry I’m working in, etc etc. Learning to value connections in my life and locating new and healthy(er) ones at the same time.
I have a few inspirational books given to me over the years. I was touched by something I read today that meant something to me personally. It’s great you find words to connect to in your journey, too! Have a happy sunny Sunday, Markus.
Thanks Nikki!
