Feeling Really Good

Today has been a good day again... I'm glad I'm having so many good days. My stomach has been starting to feel better already, and today I'm in my calorie range, even with a midnight snack. I even had banana bread today! It's because I had a really healthy lunch- a half cup of rice with a half cup of black eyed peas. It gave me room to have a hamburger for dinner. I thought I was going to be hungry after just eating such a small lunch, but since I had a big breakfast (grits and sausage) I was fine. I might have a hot dog later, but I'm not too sure. I know I'm not hungry now. I might actually have some chili beans instead. I still have some room to play with my calories.
I talked to Geo today, and it was nice. He actually slept last night and so did I, so we had a nice conversation for a while. It's hard to talk to him when I'm at my mom's since I don't get good reception up here, but we were able to talk for about 20 minutes before I lost my connection. I miss him, so it was nice for me to get a good talk in. I also got to spend some time with my mom, she got home early to do some paperwork. It's my uncle's birthday today, so I called him from my mom's phone and left him a voicemail. I also got spent some time with my mom's husband (not my stepdad, that's my mom's ex)- we went to Home Depot and he said tomorrow we will go practice driving.
I'm thinking about trying to get my license eventually, even though I had a seizure the other day. I want to see what I can do. I'm on an anti-seizure medication, so it should be okay, but I'm not sure. I know in LA you have to have not had a seizure for a year before you can drive. I have to check what you need to do in FL if you have epilepsy. I don't know if I have it or not... I got the test done and it came out negative, but that was a couple years ago. I know I don't respond to flashing lights or anything like that. It's hard for me to tell when I'm having a seizure since I just black out and don't really sense that I've been out. I don't leave the house much, so I don't do stuff that I would notice 30 seconds gone. When I'm on the computer, I can space out for 30 seconds and not notice at all. I only noticed my seizure the other day because I was on the bus and I know that route pretty well. I actually came to right in front of my apartment complex (I was on my way to the store coming from volunteering) and didn't have to get off the bus. That was the only reason I found out, since I didn't see how we got to my complex.
I've been feeling really good lately... I slept last night for 12 hours and haven't been stressed out. I talked about my food above. I sure hope I can stay this good throughout my vacation and even after I get home. I want to be feeling good as long as I can. I know it seems weird, but sometimes I want to be sad because it's comforting. It doesn't make sense, but that's the way I am. There is comfort in sadness, I think. I can't really explain it now, but I might try to later. I'm distracted now... my mom's mil has the TV really loud and I can only use the computer in the room where the TV is. I guess I will just end this here.

I think you want to be sad sometimes because then people feel sorry for you, and you get attention, after all, we all like attention from other people don\'t we? I know I do. Stay happy it is alot more healthy for you.

Ann, I eat between 1500-1900 calories a day. I try and eat pretty balanced, about 30% protein, 20% fat and 50% carbs. I know I should try and get more protein, but I\'ve been having trouble getting it in, hence the beans for lunch. I haven\'t seen a nutritionist about it yet since I don\'t have insurance.

You are doing great with your calories. Don\'t worry about getting it perfect right now just keep getting better. You didnt\' learn to eat bad in one day so it\'ll take some time to tweak your best plan. Good luck with the driving lesson.
I think in my state it\'s also 1 year free of seizures before you can get licence .. that may depend on what you were diagnosed with.\\
