Feeling positive
I am feeling positive today after taking an affirmative step toward resolving my anger towards the company. They have refused to accommodate disabled drivers for several years, force us to put up with a dearth of handicapped parking spaces. We have been told to talk to Security when it happens, but they really cannot do anything at the moment of the problem and seem to have no desire to do anything long-term, either. So yesterday I researched the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to understand exactly what they are required to do about this. This morning I sent off a formal request for reasonable accommodation to HR. I believe getting human resources involved will improve the response (as they are now breaking the law if they don't find a solution). I am hopeful that this will resolve at least one of my stress issues here while I remain. (I really can't leave the company before the surgery I'm supposed to be scheduling for late August/early September. I need the insurance coverage. But I'm still looking. )
Working toward making this a good day overall. OR at least a positive one. :)

Good Work! Call them out on it! They\'ll never change as long as they can get away it. Even if changes come too late for you to benefit from -- IOW, you *get* that new job; here\'s pulling for you! -- it will benefit others and help you feel better. Way to Go! xoxo
Thanks, Jack! Yeah, I\'m glad it finally occurred to me that I was a) complaining to the wrong folks and b) legally entitled to a solution.
Finally got an initial response--escalating it \"up the ladder.\" Yeah, better handle it soon or we\'ll escalate it straight up to the DOJ enforcement department...:)
