Feeling lethargic

Feeling headachy, tired and lethargic this week with terrible concentration and poor sleep, so staying focussed at work is a challenge.  I have put this down to my liver detoxing from the years of abuse it has undertaken.  Psychologically I feel flat and unmotivated and it is hard to move ahead with projects I want to get into, such as building up my business ideas.  I had expected myself to suddenly feel fantastic after a week of not drinking and here I am on day 12 feeling exhausted!  I am trying to remind myself that I have just made a major shift in my llife and on my body and that is going to have a big impact, so no need to rush things, but rather allow myself to be at peace in this place with what is - exactly as it is.  I actually don't mind sitting watching Game of Thrones or reading my books, it is just that other fear-driven side of me telling me I ought to stop being so lazy and just get on with things.   I was pleased to hear that a cyclone is dropping onto the country for the weekend as that gives me a good excuse to stay inside and relax :)

I really liked that journal entry. I went back to see your age, I am 44 so I can feel ya. I tried the privately stopping drinking that way as well as joining Curves. I wish you luck I struggled and fell back and start again, I have done some major damage to myself.

I know AA for alcoholics is always touted as #1. I cringed when I heard it was going to be a condition of transplant. I had been going to a therapist for individual help. When I said to my therapist that the transplant people said they wanted AA. He sent all my sessions/info to them and they accept that. He said he thought it would be detrimental.

Continued good (quiet private) luck. holly
