Feeling Great!
I'm getting back to normal now that the whole Heather fiasco is over. I'm back to volunteering a bit, and going for my walks. I'm going back to stability. I have a 5 year plan on getting off of disability- Step one- volunteer every day for 4 hours. Step 2- Get a part time job and stay out of the hospital for a year. Step 3- Get hired somewhere full time. It sounds easy on paper, but it's not. The bulk of time will be spent in Stage 1 because I feel I need to volunteer for a least a year to know I'm stable enough for a part time job. but I know I can do it. Maybe throw a little bit of school in there as well. I've been walking a lot and trying to get to 5,000 steps a day. What I want to get into is going to aerobics at 11:30 and then clean up and be out by 12:45 to catch the bus to the clinic. I will volunteer from 1-5. Go home, cook dinner and then rest, and be ready for bed by 10:30 so I can get my sleep.

What a wonderful plan! I like that you are taking time to do it right! I wish you the very best with it!
this is a great idea and knowing that it all cant be done in a blink of an eye is so right. you have given me some idas. I wish you much success is goalone and remember one day you don\'t do it does not make you a failure! hugsss
Thanks for your support!
I love your plan. Sounds well thought out. I am happy you are getting back on track. You say Heather thing is over.. Does that mean she\'s cancelled the idea of coming to visit?
its sooooo difficult to get ON disability why go off of it? why not just go to school for a masters in something or work part time at anything and KEEP the disability. in ten years you may seriously need it again and then they will put you through hell to get it back, if at all.
congratulations again on heather not showing up.
xxoo
I don\'t want to be on disability forever. I want to be able to have a good job and make more than I would on SSDI.
