Feeling better today
I'm feeling a little better today and I can attribute it to better quality sleep. On the afternoon of Monday, August 20th I head to Carlisle, PA for conventional tractor trailer orientation. I want this to be a success because the alternative is just poverty. They say nothing work doing is easy and this is worth doing.
I'm also going to arrive with a toolset for handling the stress. Something that really works for me is working on mandalas. Art-based mediation works for me versus traditional forms. The simple act of making clean, even strokes with colored pencils seems to stop that negative voice in my head for at least the moment.
Perhaps the single most important aspect of tractor trailer operation is controlling stress. Stress control is key to help prevent mistakes from compounding situations. I have to remember that I can always slow down, think, and solve.
