feeling bad
Blue is really irritating me today - he's needed near constant attention the whole morning
meowing and meowing...and then suddenly he went into "overdrive" meowing..
he wanted me to feed him.
He woke me at 430 for food today - and now it's 10 am and he wanted more food.
He's a lot to take care of, I think I'll go for a walk.

That would be annoying and if you give into it, it will continue...... Do you have a blind in your bedroom Mark so it's dark in there?..... I would have a window cover up so it still looks like night
Maybe feed him later in the eve and have dry food out for him to graze on..... If he continues to do this I would say a firm NO and put him out of your room and close the door... It may take a few times before he knows you mean it
I would never give in to bad behaviour and this does sound like behaviour..... Dan always has dry food out for Cozette to graze on and he puts out a little wet food when he gets up

Thanks Jan. When I came back from Starbucks he started to meow again but I ignored him and he finally quieted down. He’s in the other room now.. phew!

Yep, Rambo gets many "timeouts" out of my bedroom when he's too rambunctious or just being annoying. Especially since we've been stuck together pretty much 24/7 for the last 4 and 1/2 months. I have the master suite and he gets the rest of the house...its fair. lol
I've also resorted to leaving a small amount of dry food in his bowl, which I didn't used to do, and I leave the radio on low in the living room so if I'm not running around the house he still feels like he has the things he needs. We've come to somewhat peaceful terms in this "new" reality.

When I have to give Persilly a timeout, I give myself one, as well. Typically, when Persilly's nagging me like a real bitch, I'm a bit much over the real bitch line, as well. . . Woofy days happen. A timeout can be good for all. Listening to my critters doesn't mean I'll always like what I hear.
Be gentle with yourselves and patient with the process.
