feeling at peace
I had been struggling this morning while working at the market - contemplating or
hoping for some wisdom to shed it's light on my mental darkness.
I kept going and yet I told myself, I had to tell myself this darkness is not me...I know there's goodness inside
- and then I started to listen to the music - the muzak playing in the market... Every song a musician, a person, was sharing his or her own brand of wisdom.. It just kind of struck me like a lightbulb...that kind of realization that everyone is sharing his or her own 'take on things' and it was poignant.
I just felt great encouragement from that. I felt at ease and at peace about things. So I came home.
Took a shower, dressed and did a couple of errands.. Things are good.

My light phobia sure puts a wicked spin on light/dark metaphors. When I hear philosophers, et al, spinning their metaphors, the physical relief I gain from physical darkness never fail to tug on my super cape to get me defending the ancient night lights. In physical fact, I am endlessly amazed by what lovers of electric light call darkness. Yo, stigmatizers, have you noticed that tonight's full moon is wash away the shadows of your megalights? Do you know that you are missing one hell of a light show when you call the softer night lights, "Darkness?"
Putting away my light pollution soapbox now. . .
Taking the metaphor in the spirit which it was intended, I still often wonder if light lovers should reevaluate what they call, "Darkness." Much wisdom lives in the softer and ancient night lights.
Thanks Arfie
I am indeed trying to take some wisdom from this dark energy - and in paying it attention instead of finding
it, I am calming down a little. It's like a monkey on my back. I don't know what to do with it at times but
it's there asking for engagement. I will go for a walk. Taking my monkey for a walk...hopefully it won't need a diaper lol
Hm-m-m-m. . . I wonder what the pooper scooper ordinances would have to say about that? ? ?
In my own recovery road, many of the phantoms which I was forever running from have turned out to be great friends and teachers once I stopped running for long enough to actually see them for what they were more than what I had judged them to be.
Enjoy your walk. Angels whisper to those who walk.
There is absolutely wisdom inside sweetie.... I am glad that you were able to work through the darkness.. ... I love full moons Arf...... We should all meet outside at the next one??
Big squishy hug Marky.....xo
thanks Janet! Thanks Arfie!!
One of the best gifts we give ourselves is to write out what is working and how we are making it work.
Hurrah for you to find the way to make it work in the moment!
Thanks Mid!
