feel like chatting
I talked to my therapist yesterday and I told her about how I was finding a way to
look past the intimidation factors of a failure or two.
So much of my time, or just very often,I might conceive of a goal and then
imagine a failure which then 'shuts the door' on my attempt to achieve it.
I've been feeling more broader and more nebulous lately and I feel like I am coming to know,
and am predicting that "I am going to fail at some point" but to work with that failure
or work around it - and keep going is important and that phenonmenon is more in my sights right now.
She commented that it would be interesting to talk to artists about that point ..of failures..
- I suppose because I am a painter.
Anyways, today I am just 'awake to the idea' of making my own life.
Having the life that I make .... that I take the initiative to create.
I know at times I might feel very weak but I can fight forward - lift myself
up and just get on with it.
Right now I just came back from a really nice cafe - where I had a coffee.
I have the rest of the day to make. I'll make my bed and put on a load of laundry.
I'll go and get a birthday card and present for my little sister tomorrow
after work.
There's a world out there waiting for us..let's get to be a part of it!

That is awesome.
That is the one thing about creativity. It's a unique approach that engages the brain and body and the process often leads to a path of awareness that embraces the feelings in full surround.
So glad you're making a path that gives you more balance!
Thanks Mid!!
I'm not a gambling woman, but I like numbers well enough to run odds. In most cases which fill me with the dread of failure, it helps me to imagine running the odds, even when the action can't be quantified. A positive outcome is typically just as likely as a negative outcome.
Then we get to the motivational slogan for people who love learning. "I never lose. I either win or I learn."
Take a risk.
I've heard it said that if you do nothing, you are guaranteed nothing will happen, but I don't agree with that axiom. Even a stagnant pond evaporates, eventually.
Thanks Arfie!!! Peace!!
Yep! There is a world out there and we are all a part of it. No matter how big or small, cheers Marky!
