Fears continued
Continuing with the fears/reasoning thing, here is another.
Fear: Being asked for opinion on outfits.
Reasoning: I didn't realize I had this fear until the first romantic relationship I was in. She called me up and told me she was picking out a new outfit and then asked me if I preferred something sexy or not.
When she asked me this I panicked. I was afraid that if I picked the "sexy" outfit it would sound like I just wanted in her pants. But I was also afraid that if I chose the not sexy option it would sound like I wasn't interested in her. Ultimately I chose not to choose, by telling her she should pick whichever outfit she liked best. Afterwards I felt like I had come across as not being interested in her anyways.
Ever since then questions of this nature scare me. I know the best action to take would be to talk to any future partners about my issue with these types of questions. However, I still feel bad about how I might come across when answering the questions.
