fear for those out there who can't see any light

I'm feeling low and spent and old ...

I'm trying to resuscitate some hope within me.

I am so grateful that I can see some light right now

in my life and my heart goes out to those who are in a tired,

sad and depressed funk. I know it can seem like we're just a bother

when we have these kinds of feelings when they come up again and again

... and to express them feels like

an imposition - but for me, remembering my friends here, who I know that

they feel this way sometimes too - as well as those celebrities like Naomi Judd

and people like Alan Turing who felt they had no other recourse, it's so tragic!

I hope we can lift each other up at times like these... no shame, no judgey,

we've all been there..let's embrace each other and help each other get back on

our feet moving forward...!! ((((HUGS))))

i fear for those who are blinded by the lights. my greatest objection to industrial light is that it drowns out god's night lights. . . they are soft and subtle, but very much there. even when the human lights are too bright to let us see them.

i often wonder if the brighter humanity's light pollution gets, the less enlightened we are.

or should i be metaphoring around? ? ?

Your post reminds me of Leonard Cohen's message of hope in darkness from his song "Anthem."

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That’s how the light gets in.

thanks Susan! It's a great lyric. I've heard of the song and I think I have heard it too.
What a great concept that is. I feel really miserable right now but it's important
to remember to let the light in - and to pick up and take care of the day - make
adjustments to be your own doctor -
that others are also dealing with this...and they need the light. If any of you guys
need some reminders about resuming life amidst feeling low - come on here..
vent and journal about it - and pm me too! or a CL aka community leader.

sorry markus. on my good days i can simply and silently increase my social distances when the light/dark metaphors begin. they are so universally loved that, on those good days i can hope my light phobia can settle far enough to appreciate the spirit of the metaphors.

but. . . insert radical acceptance here. . .
a phobia is a phobia is a phobia, whether i likes it, or knot. . .

still. . . hope your spirits lift soon.

i miss the ancient lights of natural night. stars, etc. . .
hope my spirits lift soon, too. . .
