Fatigue, still here
The fatigue has progressively worsened over the course of a week and pretty much has reduced me to the sidelines once again. Leo insists I was doing too much. He has asked that I simply not do anything for a day or two. Easy for him to do. I started crying when I had to sit and watch television for an hour this morning. My height of activity was folding laundry. Yes, Polyanna will pick her spirits back up but...
I am seeing the pulmonary nurse practiotioner and Neuro nurse practitioner on Monday. Of course, this means I must leave and drive solo at 5 am. I need a car adapter for my kindle so it can read to me. Otherwise I have the batteries worn down.
Oh, Leo just went by with the siren going. Fire call...

How frustrating! Maybe it is the heat of the summer that is getting to us. I am worse but in nowhere near as bad a shape as you. I called my neuro yesterday fearing he would up my pred. Instead he upped my Mestinon. Thank goodness. I think if Jim tols me to watch daytime TV for 2 I would begin tears too.
Deb, the library usually has books on tape, you might like Elizabeth Peter\'s mysteries a lot better than daytime TV. The first one is Crocodile on the Sandbank and the second The Curse of the Pharaoh. I listened to the Curse of the Pharaoh when I had shingles in my mouth, kept me sane (as I ever am). With those you don\'t even have to open your eyes.
Hope you get to feeling better, ASAP. love, b.
I am so sorry Debbie. This week has been the pits for many. Hoping 2 days rest will help. I like the books on tape idea for the car and when my eyes are wonky. . I didn\'t know there was a kindle adapter too!
Sending hugs!
Debbie, sorry for the fatigue factor you are having this week. It seems there are so many ups and downs with this and I can understand the angst. I have more projects then i will ever be able to do and have just faced the fact that the kitchen will no doubt have to wait another year for me to do what I want there. I wonder if you need more of one of your medicines. Sometimes I will get worse in some way, breathing lately, and I tried upping my pyridostigmine in the evening and it has helped so much. I had been having more fatigue then, more double vision and this weakness in breathing. I don\'t have anyone close to call but will see my neuro again mid August.
I like B\'s idea for the books on tape. I think I will talk to my daughter about that when I see her later in August. She is in bed most of the time now and this might be a way for her to listen when her eyes are too fatigued. She has always been such a reader. Even the prism lenses are not helping that much now.
I know how hard it is to not do things. Sometimes if we take a few days rest we recoup and are better then before. I always have to take a day or two off after my car trips as everywhere I go from our mountain is a good 140-200 miles round trip. It just zaps me and I have to not to things.
I hope maybe more medication will help you. When my mesitnon is too low my arms and legs get so weak. I have to up it for added activity. I know we are all different snowflakes in what we need but I have taken too little many a time and realized it later.
This may be a good time to sort pictures or work on a quiet project.
Hugs, Marie
Hi Debbie. Sorry to hear you are suffering from so much fatigue. It\'s so hard to just sit and the look around and see what you could be doing. I hope Monday brings some help. Best wishes. Gez
Sometimes tears are more when fatigue is greater. If depression is derived from learned helplessness, well, having useless muscles certainly would bring one down. I am sorry you are struggling. Hugs.
