Father\'s Day
It's been a day of ups and downs, but not roller coaster fashion, to which I am accustomed in my life! That's very good. For those who are familiar with my story, you know that I love my dearly departed Dad - but haven't always. I've been reading some of the discussions in depression and anxiety, and I guess that they have served to stir up some dust for me. This is a poem I wrote to my father when I was a teenager (Oh, those teen years...many a bad poem was written then!). It's called - 'To Dad'.For what it's worth, 'enjoy': I see your blood splatter the walls like rain.I clean off the knife and watch you writhe in pain. Do I finish you off? Dare I go on?Slash through your flesh 'til my anger is gone? It will never be done, my incensement too great.Do I play the part of God and decide your fate? For every cut, bruise or welt, for everytime I've cried - after all of these you gave, my love for you has died. Finally, you welcome death, and the only sound is my torrid breath.Another life over, never should've begun. The war is now over, but I still haven't won. There you have it. Pulled from the dusty corners of my memory, preserved for posterity. Bon nuit!

Hi Jayme,
Wow! That is very deep for a teenager. I do hope that revisiting the \"dusty corners\" brings you the emotional healing that you truly deserve. It is certainly a process and the more healing work you do now, the better you\'ll feel later.
Blessings,
Judi
