Family Issues

After my grandma died, everything was supposed to be devided equally among all the children and grandchildren. Well somehow our family "representative" [my great Uncle]  broke my grandma's wishes and gave everything to one person...My Aunt. I have a total of 3 Aunts, and 4 uncles. I'm not even sure why he gave it all to her. She told me I have to buy anything I want of my grandma's personal items for keep sakes out fo my own pocket. She wont let anyone have anything because she wants to sell it at a garage sale for her own profit.  I can't believe how selfish and greedy she has been through everything. She was moving my grandma's stuff out of the house before she even died. She keeps twisiting everything that is being said to make her look like the victim so our family Rep. feels guilty for her. I don't even care about the money. We all have to go to a lawyer so we can see the will and get it properly devided. I don't want to go...I just hope my Aunt has a lot of friends, because money and material things wont keep her company and take care of her when she is sick.

I can understand and relate to your issue. Before my Grandparents died, I gave up my house and moved in to take care of them and after they were in a nursing home, take care of their house.

Well after they died, I had right of first refusal on buying the house. Three of the bothers tied to force me to move without the option but luckily I had a written agreement.

Anyway they charged me at least 40% more than the house was worth but I bought it because my grandpa built it. They also even went in and took everything. My mom didn\'t even get a chance to get something to remember her mom and dad (She took no money for the house or it would have been 75% more than it was worth, my mom even helped take care of them with us, never once did any of the brothers even care to help out) I had to purchase pictures for my mom.

People seem to have no heart when it comes to getting something for free, the only thing was, there was no will and my uncle was executor.

The unfortunate thing is that the payments were too high (2k) after losing my job, I\'ve been going through foreclosure now and I\'m losing the only thing I have of my grandparents. No one will buy it outright since it never was really worth the money.

The greedy will always be greedy and will be judged someday be assured of that. Just keep your heart true and remember your grandparents loved you and still do. And never forget them! They see what is going on.

i had a similar experience. none went to my side of the family, only my \'grandmothers\' side. they werent even legally married, but he put her down as the main. so she gave it to her side of the family. my mother fought for the flag they covered his grave with, but after some court delay stopped. her sister, my aunt, and me just moved on.
