Falling apart
Valentine's Day is our 24th anniversary. I know we will not be able to celebrate in the same way we have in the past. Yet I know that each moment, each word, is a treasure more beautiful than any dinner together or weekend away.
I fell apart today. Went to the drugstore to pick up a prescription refill (something I do a lot these days), started to look at the Valentine's Day cards and Anniversary cards, and just couldn't do it. I left empty handed, came home to Bob and told him I couldn't look through the cards, I'll write my own, but it was just too difficult to read the sentiments on the cards, or to see the funny cards I may have picked out in the past. So I came home and sobbed in his arms instead.
I love my husband.
