FALL IS HERE

WELL, THE FROST IS DEFINITELY ON THE PUMPKIN. WE HAVE HAD MANY A CHILL NIGHT AND THE DAYS ARE NOT WARMING UP VERY MUCH. MOST OF MY PLATNS ARE SHOWING THE BLUSH OF FROST....BOOHOO. THIS WEEKEND I WILL BEGIN THE PROCESS OF READYING THE GARDENS FOR WINTER. I WILL PUT AWAY ALL THE DECORATIONS AND GET OUT THE FALL ONES. I LIKE FALL BUT I DREAD WHAT COMES AFTER.I HAVE BEEN VERY DRAGGY SINCE I HAD MY COLONOSCOPY LAST WEDNESDAY. I DID NOT REALIZE HOW MUCH IT TOOK OUT OF ME. I WAS IN BED LAST NIGHT BY 7:00 AND OVERSLEPT TIL 7:00 THIS MORNING WHEN THE BOYS CAME.I HAVE A PDOC APPOINTMENT TOMORROW. I AM GOING TO ASK TO BE TAKEN OF THE LAMICTAL AND SEE IF I AM OKAY WITHOUT IT. I JUST WANT TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF DRUGS I AM PUTTING IN MY SYSTEM.I HAVE ALSO BEEN DEALING WITH MY DAUGHTER'S DEPRESSION ISSUES. BOY, DOES THAT PUT ME INTO ANXIETY MODE. IT IS SO MUCH WORK JUST CONTROLLING MY OWN STRESS AND DEPRESSION AND THEN TO HAVE TO HELP HER DEAL WITH HER ISSUES. WELL, IT JUST CAUSES ME TO SPIRAL. I AM GOING TO SUGGEST THAT SHE ASK HER REGULAR DOC TO REFER HER TO A MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELLOR. I THINK IT WOULD DO HER GOOD. THEY CAN TEACH HER SOME STRATEGIES TO DEAL WITH ALL THE CRAP THAT GOES WITH OUR DISORDERS. AND AS KIDS DO, THEY THINK THEIR PARENTS KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ANYTHING AND AS A RESULT DON'T FOLLOW THROUGH WITH OUR SUGGESTIONS. LIKE, I DON'T KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT REGARDING DEPRESSION, YEAH, RIGHT, WISH THAT WAS TRUE.OKAY, ENOUGH OF THE NEGATIVE, JUST NEEDED A LITTLE VENTING.WELL, I AM OFF TO DO SOME HOUSEWORK, OH YEAH. THEN I HOPE TO DO SOME OF MY SALT CANDLES AND MAYBE A LITTLE SCRAPBOOKING.DEBBIE

I\'m sory you had to go thru the whole colon thing, That can\'t be fun. I\'m with you when it comes to the winter. I don\'t do cold well. But...waddaya gonna do huh? Sory I have been so out of touch. I\'ve been doing the constant med change bit again. I\'m so sensitive to drugs now that I have the anxiety with the depression. You know how that goes. Hopefully things will get better for both of us, if even for a while. Thanks for always being there for me. :)

I hate the thought of having a colonoscopy, I am overdue for mine, yuck!!!! Sorry to hear it took so much out of you sweetie. Honestly, my husband said he felt a surge of energy the day after his so maybe it has more to do with our condition to begin with. I hope all turns out well in the results.

Sorry to hear about your daughter but I can certainly relate with my son going through what he is. I hate to even say anything to him for fear he will blow up at me. They seem to quickly forget watching how much we suffered and learned while dealing with this disorder ourselves. Hopefully they will come around with time.

Glad to hear you are keeping busy. I, too, dread the upcoming winter. The anxiety of it has already set in unfortunately. I feel like I want to crawl under the covers and hybernate until spring again just so I can avoid it all. It takes so much energy to get through a day.

I went med light a couple of months ago and have done fairly well. I am enjoying having my cognitive abilities and motivation back. I fear it is time to get back on a mood stabilizer or antipsychotic just to get through the winter.

Debbie, I think you have done a wonderful job working through this disorder since I have known you. You have already decreased the meds you are taking and have become more active. It is good to see you doing so well. I hope that going off the Lamictal doesnt throw you into something you are not prepared for especially this time of year. Please be careful. Hope you get to feeling better and find your energy again. Please have a safe trip to see your sister, with your mother. Hugs

Boy do I know the feeling (dealing with daughters with issues AND looking winter in the eye as it approaches on ice skates).
Lately I find myself avoiding talking to Winter very often because it seems she is doing on disaster after another until I am so down I just want to crawl in bed and hide. There are times when I think her life upsets me more then it does her.
I\'m hoping for some nice (defined as not blowing so hard I lose my hair or raining and cold) weather to get things sorted out in my yard too. Today I hope to get some mowing done before putting up the lawn mower for the winter. It\'s late enough in the season now that the grass shouldn\'t grow to much before it\'s covered wiht snow. I also need to cut back tall stalks on some of my bushes and it would probably be nice if I could get most of the weeds pulled before the garden goes to bed for the winter, right now the weeds are taller then most of the plants thanks to all that rain we\'ve had.
I wonder which one of us will get our snow first? It seems like for the most part we share the same weather, although at times I think mine is a bit better then yours...Hugs
