Fading
The other day I thought about my husband, but this time it was different. It was like reading a book or watching a movie--a life lived, but not my life. I'm forgetting the sound of his voice, his touch. The things we did together seem to belong to someone else. I wish he were here, but I don't miss him. I have an awareness that he is waiting for me and that's enough.
My husband is becoming the best friend who moved to another country and is never coming back. I can't say I like it, but it's better than the pain.

Yes. Its harder and harder to remember my life with Smokey: voice, touch, things we did together and our relationship. Its like a movie I have forgotten about. Yes, Smokey has moved to a distant country and one day we will meet again in heaven. I am looking forward to that day. What about you?
Your mind is full right now and it\'s back in the pause mode. As you relax you will find and feel him again. I\'ve gone through times like you describe. It\'s a time of healing, not forgetting. Sending you prayers of peace and comfort. Sharon
I know what you mean, at times it\'s like it happened to someone else, not me. Like you at times I forget his voice, his touch...missing him but not as much.
