Face Book Events

ES has allowed no contact what so ever.  Yesterday he "tagged" me with a Life Event.  It was a declaration of his birth with me listed as parent and his step sibling listed.  It included place and date which were all correct.  Later he invited me to play a game.  I am so unsure as to what to do.  Is this a trick?  Is he really starting to reach out?  I am praying and praying and know I need to do something soon in case he is opening a door.  In another post he sent me, it said "Went to fireworks with the family (meaning GF entire huge family) and a picture of a heart shaped cake he made for her.  He knows calling her family "the" family hurts me.  What do I do?

Just take the small openings as opportunities. You could do things like click \"like\" on some pics or status updates, even on the pics he post on things he is doing with her family. This will show him that you are not bothered by it even if it is bothering you. Don\'t let it show. Just click \'like\' but don\'t comment yet on anything until you see that he is commenting directly to you and not in general. The next thing you know, he may be calling and coming back around. I pray this for you. God bless you

I am so afraid of false hope since one day he will be totally cruel and then this happening yesterday. I will take your advise and pray that good things will happen. At least I have an opportunity to try even if it back fires. Appreciate your reply, care and support

I know what you mean about GF \"family\". My son posted on FB that his family was now DIL\'s family. Then they argued; he kicked them all off, then he reconnected with DH and me when DH was in the hospital and it seemed everything was great and they were going to come visit. Haven\'t heard a word and now her family is his family again on FB. This time I am not letting it affect my life.

As far as your ES, if you want to play the game on FB, go ahead. I would just caution to say anything that they can twist around, and I would keep my conversations simple and generic. God has a plan, but his timing is not always the same as us humans.
