Eyes wide open

Quick update!   Though my husband has been doing better, we're not doing so great.  I'm learning more and more how unreliable and selfish he really is.  Perhaps this is his true nature afterall.  Perhaps I'm fooling myself into thinking that he's still clean. Mind you it's not as bad as before, I'd be a fool to say that some things have not changed.  I KNOW he's still drinking( for a fact) and that is something I WILL NOT live with.  Not with him.  Truth is, he has never sought out any REAL help for his addiction.  I'm in a great place though.  I thank God for it everyday.  I no longer pine over him or worry about what he's doing.  I finally have peace in my heart.  Peace for me and peace with my son.  I continue to pray for my husband and ask God for the strength to let him go right now.  He's not the man I thought he was.  Perhaps, someday, I will see him again.  Until then, I hold stong to my faith and totally giving up everything to God and His Promise!  I only wish every person hanging on to their own addict, can learn to trust God as I have.  There isn't any other way.  I'm living proof that God is True and Real!
