Expectations

My spouse believes that I can walk into an account, do computer work and walk out with a check.  I have one account that happens with but most are normal small businesses with the usual net 30 days, etc.  She is constantly demanding money and I am doing my best to get it and retrieve checks, but secondly everybody is slowing down writing checks.  I am going insane.
