Exercise
Exercise really does help. I walk on a treadmill and practice yoga six days a week. I gradually worked up to this. I also soak in the bathtub with Epsom salt three days a week. During the day I constantly change positions because if I am in one position too long, I ache. My daughter is a doctor and she is the one who encouraged me to start exercising because it is one of the only proven self help strategies.

HYep to all of the above. I can't fit into a bathtub comfortably (height) but otherwise? Walking, gentle aerobics (as in "aerobics for the hip replacement or spinal injury crowd") and yoga are/were my go-tos and still are. (I miss yoga. That spine injury took it off the table for me. *sigh*) And I make a point of getting up and moving at least ten of every sixty minutes even if I am only pacing and swinging my arms a litte. Just keep it flowing, I guess? Anyway, judos to you! Woot! Took me six months to get up to that much yoga....
We really need to have more patience than the average person!
