Excited, Worried, and Scared

So tomorrow I see my therapist who is helping me find out if I have PTSD or not. Last session she took a quick look at part of the assessment I did and she said it looks like I could have it. But tomorrow we're gonna talk about it because she looked over it this past week. So I'm excited but at the same time I'm worried and scared.

i am a little confused by that. are they evaluating the symptoms you have? because, you have symptoms and they are symptoms of something. i suppose it is similar with me. i'm full of symptoms but no one ever has said i conclusively have ptsd. but it seems clear that i have something. it is like they would have to name the event that caused the condition and the symptoms and i know that for me, naming an event is pretty much an impossible thing. so is it just a lack of information that they can't officially attach those letters to you? and does it matter? you still have something that needs attention so you can heal or so that i can heal. and i see how that can cause excitement worrry and fear. just try to stay calm. think of happy things think of real things. i'm not great for advice. sorry. i want you to feel ok so i'm thinking real hard. some people tell me that that is my problem. that i shouldn't think so hard and much. do you think hard and much? maybe what ever you do, try the opposite. i hope the "finding out" brings you comfort. i'm just so crazy, but if you need to talk to someone, i'm here.

Yes. There was a questionnaire and I got a high score on it. So my therapist said today that I have PTSD. Maybe you should try to find a therapist that specializes in PTSD/Trauma if you haven't already. That's what I did and I found out that I do have it. Also the way she found out was by having me do the questionnaire. And your advice was good advice. Thank you. My head is always running wild. And finding out about it gives me mixed feelings. I'm relieved that I found out what was wrong with me but I'm depressed because I do have it. Thank you.
