Excited for myself
So I got into the graduate program I wanted to get into. It's an MSW program and I'm very excited. My Dad is happy for me, and a couple of my friends, but my Mom and several other people are "guardadly optimistic." I have tried a few other graduate programs in the past and decided that they weren't for me, but I'm sure about this one. I can't wait until the fall. It is going to be amazing. I wish people were just excited for me instead of waiting for me to fail at this. It's pissing me off. I know I've made mistakes in the past of jumping into things I wasn't ready for. I'm 30 now and sure of what I want to do. This isn't like the other times. It's different. I feel to my very core that this is what I should be doing. I've prayed about it and I know this is it. End of story. I guess its just too much to ask for the people I love to stand behind me, even though I'm there for them. I'm just whining here, but I had to get it out somewhere.
