excited but it seems unreal
I leave for the airport at 345am on Monday morning.
I am really looking forward to the trip.
Right now, I have packed my bag and checked most things off the list
that I thought to have with me.
I am ready - but now it's just a waiting period
until that time comes for me to depart...
it feels unreal
but I am psyched.
Tomorrow I will vacuum the house and clean the bathroom and kitchen
to leave the house in good order for the cat sitter and also for myself
upon my return.

for me, that unreal feel is among the higher goals of a vacation. it lets me let go of my current realities and open myself to those far off ideals that are so easily lost in the demands of daily life.
and then there is the clean and comfy home to come back to. . . i think of that anticipation anxiety i channel into the pre-travel cleaning as prepping the canvas for the works of living art i hope to bring back from vacay with me.
that's great arfie!!! I wonder what adventure awaits!? Blue hopefully will be ok while I am gone!
Leaving him is the one reservation I have. But he'll have a sitter...if but 1 hour a day...:(
I will get to sleep on the night I return home and then go out to the market the morning after I come home
and fill the fridge with food and goodies.
Blue will be fine Mark. Have a great trip.
Thanks Becky
I hope that you have a fabulous time sweetie filled with peace and inspiration.... Big squishy hug.... xo
thanks Jan!
I’m so happy for you…. I am
So rejuvenated by travel each time. There is always a nervousness or excited energy involved, at least that I experience…. But then once you’re there, and you wake up in a moment of “wow, this is amazing to be experiencing this moment right now.” Wishing you such a wonderful voyage.
Blue will be just fine. He will have a cat party all by himself and your sitter will work out great. Another reason to love that feeling of returning home again.
Thanks Nikki!
