Everybody's crazy, and everyone's special

I just watched a very good season finale of one of my shows. It's called "My mad fat diary" and they brought up a very good point. If you had a friend, and she was obviously insecure about her weight, you wouldn't laugh and point, and call her a fatty. You'd try to console her if you could. You'd do your utmost to make her feel better. So why do we point at ourselves, picking out every single inconsequential flaw? If we wouldn't do it to a stranger on the street, why do it to ourselves?
We have to love ourselves in order to fix anything in our lives, so the next time you want to pick on yourself or think you're a horrible person, think of yourself walking alongside you. Think of the things that person has helped other people with, what they have done today that is amazing. We seem to do this with everyone else without thinking but are highly critical when it comes to ourselves.
Another great point they brought up was that everyone is crazy, they just don't know it yet. When times get hard, we all go a little wrong now and again. We're all just the same. The person giving you funny looks on the street is no better than you are. They just don't know it yet.
