Even though I\'m down.....
Even though I’m still in the dark place, we all know where that’s at, right? This quote I found is what keeps me going, it is basically how I look at life as a bi polar. Went to pdoc yesterday and he knew as soon as he saw me all was not well. So I filled him in. One of my biggest issues the last month or more has been the almost total lack of sleep. I’m not a great sleeper at the best of times, maybe four hours a night if I’m lucky. But I have not even getting an hour lately and this is broken sleep. I told him that I felt that all the other symptoms were stemming from that. He concurred. So what to do?? I already take a sleeping pill plus clonazepam which has a sleepiness side effect. So what to do?? Awhile back I had him reduce some of my meds as I felt I was on WAY too many for my own good. He agreed and we removed seroquel from my regime. I suffered no ill effects. When I was on it, 700mg, I was extremely disoriented and groggy when I would get up at night and in the morning it took awhile before I felt fully functional. Anywho, he put me back on 200mg at bedtime for a trial period. Well, lo and behold I slept last night..... ALL NIGHT!!!! I got up a 6:00 and had some coffee and went back to bed to rest ( the groggy feeling ) I went back to sleep until 10. I am amazed. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this will do the trick. And if it does that I will soon be on the road back to " normal ". Thanks everybody for your hugs and support. Debbie

I hope this new med does work for you. No sleep makes eveything hard to do.

Take care,

My therapist agrees and says that slepp deprivation is only going to make the symtoms worse. I take Klonopin, same as clonas----. Isn\'t is awesome when you wake up and look at the clock and 6-8 hours have past and you haven\'t looked at the clock. It is like you think the clock is wrong. Hope it still workd for you. Every now and then I take an Ambien if I have not sleep in days very well. I would rather have the groggy feeling than no sleep. Good luck, think I will give the bed a try. Love Naomi xo
I hope your on the road back to feeling good and enjoying life but really normal is highly over rated.
