Entry 4

Ok had a really good day today. My in-laws watched the two older kids all weekend and the wife and I only had our youngest. We decided after church today, since the weather was just beautiful, to go and eat lunch at the park. Our youngest fell asleep on the way there so we just ended up parking at the park and eating in the truck but it was still fun. Then went to Wal-Mart and found me a new smoker for an excellent price cause it was a floor model but it had no defects so win-win. Got home decided to break it in tonight and have my parents over for some more outdoor family fun. I love being outdoors it just reminds me of how good God is. I mean here is this omnipotent, mighty, powerful, creator of the universe and he cares enough to make a flower grow on a certain day at a certain time just so I can enjoy it. Now that is awesome. Anyways church was excellent our Associate Pastor taught this morning out of Joshua and how Joshua was a foreshadow of Christ. How in our own lives we face the same battles and must conquer them as the Israelites did and remember we can only destroy the strongholds of sin by the Grace of God and the power of His Word (Jesus Christ), but we must remember to truly be free we must kill the kings of those strongholds as well. There is so much more but if you study Joshua pray for God to open the eyes and ears of your heart to see and hear what He has to say about it. I promise it'll blow you away.
