Enliven the mind!
I'm home from work now and I must say I am really wiped out! I took a shower I had lunch, I need to clean my dishes but for now I'm super tired and lazy. Perhaps justifiably I'm lazy and better said it's probably just that I'm tired. My body feels heavy. So I'm trying to figure out what will bring me back some energy. I had a pot of coffee but I'm still pretty tired. So I'm just laying in bed watching PBS, the Milk Street cooking show, and I need to tackle this. I think every day that I come home I tend to bank a journal here about my experience and thoughts. It reminds me of what a friend said once, he said that when he comes home from work he doesn't go to sleep straight away. He has to reclaim his life in a way first. Maybe that is what I need to do here. Maybe journaling is my form of reclamation of the day and so I wake up my mind from the slumber of a work day. I might take a nap or maybe I'll go for a walk. I've got take care of this boogie myself. This journal helps! Sending peace and good vibes. M

sometimes the simplest answer is the best.
rest is a productive activity after a hard day's work. that nap could even bring dreams to inspire a livelier mind.
thanks arfie. I rested in front of the tely. I then did the dishes, cleaned the litter and took out the recycling,
made the bed and readied the meds for tonight, and got the mail as well as got the clothes ready for work tomorrow.
Feeling better.. It's slim pickin's until pay day tomorrow here and so resting up is the most luxury I'll have - dreams would be the cherry on top if I have them. Rock on Mother to the Flockers!
evil grin. . .
yup, i be quite the mother flocker. just ask "pretty boy and the mean girls." they have been terrorizing their fellow chickens, so i left them closed in their coop for 4 days to calm them down and give the other birds time to gain some confidence. 4 days is quite a long time in a chicken life. i didn't let them out until after they quit calling me, "mother flocker" and shortened that to, "yes, mother."
takes more than good looks to impress this mother. don't forget this mother collects pretty bird pelts. there's no doubt about it. pretty boy and the mean girls do have good looking pelts, one and all. quite spectacular, actually. that's still no excuse for bad manners.
Have a really good day ahead Arfie!!
