Empowering Weekend

I had a friend from CA invite me to visit her in August.  Lynyrd Skynyd was playing at a Casino near Fresno and she was going to get us tickets for the concert.  We were going to be there around My Tim's heavenly Birthday.  I was apprehensive about going back to all the places Tim and I had frequented.  My Son really wanted to go and see where his Dad and I spent our time when we lived there.  So we bought plane tickets and got excited about going.  This all started in the first week of July.  I hadn't heard from her for a few weeks so I texted her and she did not get back to me for a week.  I started to get worried.  When she did get back to me (2 weeks prior to our trip) she informed me that she was unable to get the tickets and I should go on a website to get them.  But she like included this information in the middle of a text about other things.  It was weird.  I went to the website and found not only were there not any good seats left but it was going to cost me $200.  At this point I am so angry I didn't know what to do.
Then I got an email from Frontier Airlines about a one day airfare sale.  I was able to change our tickets for a small fee.  Now we are going to MN to see my Granddaughter and take her to her first Lynyrd Skynyrd concert.  I know here Papa is smiling about that one.
It was so empowering to have this happen.  I had been feeling very weak and it has renewed my confidence.
Hugs, Sandi
