Emotional fragility and mutuality

I’m starting to see my work here in a new light. I’m seeing it more as a job tonight in the sense of seeing the need for actively applying myself rather just having a spiritual experience.

The work here gives example and comfort and firmament to the suffering and emotionally fragile. I was thinking about that as I considered my own nature, feeling who I am in my nature, in the fashionable and social world but also wanting to do the right thing or knowing I am. It’s an insecurity that has me realizing I’m not so emotionally strong and I have gravitate towards being around others who are emotionally fragile too. It seems most people, at least those who I come into touch with are helping each other get through the rollercoaster of the day and their experiences. I realize everything I do in church, both speaking and movement can promote stability and reassurance to the parish by example. Just by providing these kind of benchmarks sets people at ease.

We’re all kind of emotionally fragile here at the monastery and I’m engendering an understanding that helps me see who we are and how I am in the world.

Things are good. I guess I want to say my new perspective is motivating myself to keep at it and get into action with exuberance.

Big hug sweetie...I think when people start to know one another well we often disclose more as we get comfortable and trust another...Let our vulnerability show

I don't think anyone gets through this life easy especially the older we get with more life experience

It's nice that people trust you and allow you to really see who they are...xo

inside my own skin, emotions are fragile. always. plan on it. they run and change as continually as the currents in a river.

that detachment of seeing my life as something bigger and more consistent than my fragile emotions helps me considerable. "work" is as good a name for that detachment as any.
