I think they gave me a bit more anesthesia than normal today. Part of the procedure is anesthesia and then a paralytic for your entire body except for your lower right ankle that they have a blood pressure cuff on to stop the paralytic from flowing in to. So they mechanically breathe for you for about 30 min, then you are under anesthesia for the next hour after that, then the patients usually wake and have to be there in the hospital bed for an hour under close observation. Sort of feels like being back in the ICU. Today I had to be woken up to go home. I slept for that hour of observation.
Everything else went ok. And when the doctor comes over and asks "how is it going", that is not a doctorly how is it going but just a polite how is it going. I told and she said very affirmatively that she does not handle anxiety or PTSD. That doctor has the bedside manner of a cornered badger.

Being in healthcare myself, i have begun to see a correlation between the lack of bed side manners and an abundantly highly skill level in doctors. Ive begun to think they only get one, either brains or personality. Its like one cant be if the other exist. And what separates the really Good ones is Having heart.
Poor bedside manners are the worst - Sorry you had to endure that. I hope you are resting well.
