ECT #14
No traffic today in the ECT assembly line. Ans it really is an assembly line. You check-in, change out into a hospital gown... which here I try out my moon powers upon all, they put in an IV and start you on some of the drugs. they you get called to an open bed and some more drugs. Then the doc comes in. The anesthetist hangs a few small bags for your wakeup, then they push the sleep drugs. I try to stay awake to see how far I can go. Made it about a total of 15 secs so far. The procedure is actually about five minutes long, then 30 min waking with up a doctor monitoring, then 30 min of monitoring by a nurse. You only ever remember the nurse wake up period. Interesting when you are under, the doc must breathe for you as your system is that suppressed.
Next ECT next Monday

Looks like they have ECT down to a science. I'm glad it's doing good things for you all this beats the hell out of the psyche ward and in patient stays. Good on you for sticking with it!
Hooray for no traffic. Thanks for explaining the steps of the procedure. Boy, they do put you under fast. Glad you're following the full course. Hugs.
