ECT #11

Another Monday, and another ECT (electro-convulsive therapy) session.  It was pretty easy.  I timed the event from falling sleep to being awake and it was about an hour.   I know all the nurses' names now and they do take good care of me.  Much better therapy than Friday, Friday there was too many patients and it got backed up and I felt like I was sitting in traffic.

Down to twice weekly... getting better.

Glad the doctor didn't get delayed again. Thor, you are getting better, and will only move forward from here. Hugs.

Thanks. The doctor also said that I sound and look at lot more lucid and attentive than in earlier treatments. I feel better, typing is getting better and some of my research skills are returning. I had to find an answer for the client last night that I don't think I could have done last week. I feel good and optimistic. I haven't felt this in a long long time.

Yay for getting better like this, Thor! As you know, I have chronic kidney disease along with my PTSD, so meds are severely restricted in my case. Non-medication recovery like ECT, then, is something I look to as alternative hope for me if more treatment is needed down the road for my PTSD. Your posting about ECT like you do is really generous. Thank you for your brave example, my friend.
