DS & Members help & suport
Hi AllI just had another thought. Not all of you will go for it. Tere has been members saying they are leaving & others adding thanks to DS & its members for all the help & suport they have given them. Some of thease members wo are leaving Or even thoes who feel they have been suported ect but wish to stay on they could in turn offer what ever help & suport to the remaining & New members . Maybe also DS its self. This way they would be giving some ting back. Help & suport is always needed. It can be made to fit in with some folks daily events ect. Some of you may already be giving help & suport while recieving it & even thhat is a bonus.. Im doing so too if how & wen I can & to whom. Yes even my profile is doing it for me even when Im not on here. There will always be some who some of us can not help. That is te same in the real world too. But the more of us who do it the easier the job will be & more folk will will benefit from it. In some ways it is easier to help & suport other members on here than it would be to help people in person. I think that if some one has a jernal or profile that is clearly helping some one & maybe is a inspiration to them ect then DS should keep their jernal & profile on disply for members present & future even it or when the member who wrote it has gone. Some who leave could later come back. Some do not have to cancel their DS account so they can pop back to help & suport others at random. There may be some who leave but later may need to get the help & suport again . Maybe not for the same reasons or for them selfs but for a family or friend ect.. PLEASE PASS THE WORD TO DS & ALL MEMBERS. Tell them wo it came from if they think its a good I dea. Hugs to all who accept & need them. Take care all.

It\'s great that you want to help so many people. Such a great quality to have in todays world. ***HUGS*** Take care.
Hi Graham. I hope all is well.
I become a member last year as i needed help. I am now on my second spell of sobriety, 3 months ish each time.
I\'ve never come close to that length of sobriety before.
The natural thing it seems is to go from asking for help, to helping others, which inturn helps me/us.
I\'ve realised this is a normal progresion on DS.
There is a problem with this i think and that is that the more people you get to know, the less time you can spend with each person, which can have a detrimental affect on the people that are desperate for help.
My typing is a bit slow so i cant help people as much as i would like.
Your input, ideas etc are all good, so keep up the good work, discusion is good, its how we improve ourselves and others lifes.
T/C of yourself too Graham !
Michael
