Dreams of him
Last night I dreamed about tom...twice. The first time, I woke up and he was sitting next to me. I sat up, and said 'Thank God it was a nightmare'...then I turned around, and his ashes were still sitting on the little table where I had placed them the other day. I just looked at him...then I woke up. When I went back to sleep, I dreamed I was racing to a hospital on the other side of the country. When I got there, I looked through a little window, and he was on a stretcher, smiling and waving at me. I woke up in tears. It seemed so real at the time...

I have dreams too.
For a couple of months, I had dreams where we just had mundane conversations. Like you, I woke up, then I realized she was gone.
Recently I had a dream that we were at a Rolling Stones concert together. Funny because I have never seen the Stones, but I was listening to some Stones concerts. We shared love for music, we were married on John Lennon\'s birthday.
Your mind works things out in dreams. You may consider them \"messages\" or \"insights\" - seeing Tom smiling and waving from the stretcher seems comforting, in some way. Some people keep journals of their dreams when they wake up.
My wife was a psychotherapist, so she had some insight into the psychology of dreams. She did not follow Freudian theories. I wish I could ask her about my dreams about her.
We are adjusting, even in our dreams. Although I know they can be painful and disturbing, accept the dreams as part of the process.
Thank you for sharing :)
I agree with Decibel, we work stuff out in our dreams. It can be very upsetting, sometimes the good dreams are just as upsetting as the bad ones. They will ease up. I dream about Cliff all the time, but mostly it is normal everyday stuff now. Some dreams feel like visits, and I look forward to those. Hang in there. Love and Hugs, Martha
