DONE ROAMING

Well, this was me on the first day of our trip in Sosua, Dominican.  We left on a Friday and I was not feeling great, depression wise..oh,oh. Then we did not get to our room until about1:00 in the morning. When I woke up on Saturday I felt really bad. So I took a few extra meds. We found a spot on the reef that had chairs and these lovely, huge hammocks. It was close to the ocean so there was a nice, soft breeze. I laid down at 9:00 and I slept until about 4:00. Michael checked me a few times because he thought I was dead!! After that I got showered and we went for supper followed by a stroll around the property. I hit the sack early and slept right through the night ( Rare!!). The next morning I was as fit as a fiddle. It was better to lose one day than to ruin the whole week.

Anyway, we had a great week with only one day of torrential rain. That was on Thursday the day we were suppose to go horseback riding. Needless to say, it was cancelled. We did go up in the cable car to the top of the Isabella de Torres Mountain. It was just breath taking!!

We also made it to the Sosua market. This is a huge attraction there. They have about 80 plus stalls of vendors selling their wares. They are very competitive and pushy!! You really have to stand your ground with them and when you say “no” you really have to mean it. Some of them do not like to take no for an answer and will get right in your face. At this point, you need to get nasty and rude. I don’t enjoy that. But all in all it was a good time and we did get some great bargains.

Well, I am glad to be home. I just stayed in my jammies all day yesterday. I did a lot of work like paying bills, phone calls, some cleaning, checking into trip for next year, exercising and other odds and ends. Then at 7:00 I met the girls for coffee. We had a 2 hour chat. It was so...good to see them as I missed our last get together due to illness so it had been over a month.

Today I must get in touch with my daughter. We have been playing phone tag since I got home. Hope to catch her toady!!

So folks, that is all for now. I’ll be checking your emails and answering the most recent ones. Take care. Debbie

Jammie days I love them and have had 3 in a row. Just feeling bla. I am glad you got over the depression quickly so your trip wasn\'t ruined. Once in Mexico I was down for 5 days out of 8, it was really a bummer. What a waste. I guess we can\'t control it no matter how hard we try. You look so comfie. Really sorry you didn\'t get to go horseback riding. That was the hightlight of out last trip, or should I say one of them. Rest up, it won\'t be long before we are digging in the dirt, I HOPE. Can a person stay in their jammies for 2 months? NJ xo
