doing things to feel good about myself
I had the meeting with my therapist, and it went well. She is such
an amazing person.
After the meeting I went out for some gelato and a big maple cookie
at a place called Tifa. Best ice cream and cookies there.
Then I came home. Turned on the news and spent time cuddling with Blue.
I washed the dishes, cleaned the kitty litter and folded the laundry. I washed
my hands before I folded the laundry lol.
But I was sitting here after the chores were done and I started to lose
a sense of positivity. I started to get down on myself about what seemed
about my lackings.
But I gotta pick myself up and keep fighting. Keeping doing things
that promote a positive outlook for myself- things that prove to myself
a sense of self worth - like having a super clean home or cuddling with Blue
or writing a journal or doing anything that promote a sense of self worth.
I think I'm not alone in needing to do something like that at some point
during the day. Work certainly gave me a sense of value, as well so did
taking care of chores and making lunch. Then therapy - then ice cream and cookie
and so maybe this is just a part of taking care of the day to come full circle back
to the last journal. I should probably start packing for my trip!

doing things to give myself a sense of value is basic in my own self care. my spiritual diet is as important as my physical diet. humans do not live by bread alone. there is no meal so great that it will last me a lifetime.
the trip sounds exciting. enjoy. . .
don't forget to ask what it takes to join a monastery.,
Thanks Arfie. So appreciated!! Thanks for telling me about your ‘diet’. My therapist talks occasionally of things that she does which make her feel virtuous. Your comment made me think of that and also the idea of applying it to my diet.:)
Oh My You Are Rocking.....Enjoy To The Fullest!!! Take Everything In!!!
Thanks Mary Louise!

thanks Jan! it really was a good cookie: big, thick, soft and with a delicious creamy icing on top!
