Doing Better, Walking with God
I am beginning to feel better from my anxiety. Reaching out for information, guidance, and reassurance I've turned to doing my own research. However, the best source of inspiration, guidance, and reassurance is coming from Scripture, God's divine words. I returned to church this past Saturday, a big step for me because I have neglected my spiritual life. It has suffered. Now I am feeling that I'm on the right road to recovery from and victory over my anxiety. Time off from my relationship is affording me new opportunities to get to know myself again, to look deep down & take personal inventory. I look at myself each morning in a mirror and say, "I love you, Manny" to my reflection. For too long I did not like myself let alone love myself. How could I expect to love my gf in a true way if I have failed to love myself? The same way I look to God for strength is the same way she looks to me to be strong. How can I be strong for her if I cannot be strong for myself? My gf is honest, and I needed to hear the truth to shake me out of the doldrums of my self-made trap. I pray to The Lord that we are able to heal while we are taking a break from our relationship. I want us to be together and better than before. However, first I must heal myself and conquer my anxiety. Like I said earlier, I am feeling better. I can begin seeing things better. I have a lot to share with my counselor regarding my latest developments and my meds counselor for possible additional medicinal remedies. There is a long road ahead of me; there will be challenges on that road. However, each day is better than the day before. God is my rock. Be not far from me, My Lord, as I move forward.
