Doggone tired... literally!!!

This little gal is Lizzy. She is a purebreed Yorkshire Terrier. Sorry the pics are so small, I’ll try to get a better one later. Anyway, I have been in the process of purchasing her since Fri, Aug 1. The price was exceptional, $250.00. You know the saying if it seems too good to be true.... Well, all started out well. Oh, before I forget this dog, puppy ( she is 10 weeks old and weighs less than 1 and 1/2 pounds ) is coming to me from Douala, Cameroon in Africa!!!! That’s a long story for another time. So I sent Max ( the owner ) a Western Union for the amount. He then went to a business which ships pets around the world France Petpost. They sent her out at 12:45 a.m. Monday morning. She arrived in England and they emailed me and the company and Max that Lizzy did not have her puppy passport or city permit papers and these must be gotten from the Minister of Livestock in Cameroon at a charge of $900.00!!! So after a great deal of fretting and waiting and crying and PAYING the papers came through and they were able to put Lizzy on a plane for New York. So I heave a huge sigh of relief. BIG MISTAKE!!!! Lizzy arrives in NY about 4:30 a.m. today ( Thurs. ). They checked her all out she is fine BUT she needs to have 4 vaccines since she has come from Africa, she needs quarantine free papers and she needs to be registered with the Canadian Kennel Club and not the one in the US. The total cost of this is, hang on to your seats, $2513.00!!! Again this must all go back through the Pet shipping company, the owner, the livestock minister and the insurance company ( I was a little on the ball, I took out insurance ). We have 72 hours for all this to be done or she is put into quarantine for 6 months. I sent the money and they assure me that it will be done in about 24 hours. The vaccines have to be shipped from there!!I am feeling so wore out from the stress and frustration and the money but more than anything I’m so..... concerned for Lizzy. I’m going to ask all of you to send out your prayers and positive karmas to Lizzy so there will be no more delays and she will soon be safe with me.The insurance is suppose to re-imburse me for all monies. Anyway, I think I’ll lay down for awhile. Debbie
