Does anyone else understand our pain of the loss?

Does any one else understand the pain of our loss?
Does anyone care that even during the anniversary of our loss, we still grieve?
Tomorrow will be two years to the date when Smokey died.  I don't know how I am going to handle it.  I haven't done so well so far and it started last week when I was bawling my eyes out.  I will being going to Ikea with a friend of mine so I won't be alone and it will help.
I was thinking it might be better to date a widower who would understand our own pain.  Other than Daily Strength no one knows or understands what we are going through in dealing with the grief, loss and pain even if it is coming up two years.
These things cross through my brain from time to time.  I am trying to calm down now so I can do a bit of grocery shopping alone.
Talk to you again and it does help so much to write in the journal.

Diane...As you know I went by that two year anniversary just two weeks ago and I came into work and everything was pretty much the same..the earth didn\'t stop moving and I was doing pretty good until I received an email from my dear daughter that was an ecard sending me a big hug and telling me she was thinking of me. Of course I started to cry and tried to make sure no one saw me. I think having the anniversary fall so close to the holidays doesn\'t help either. Buddy loved the holidays and so do I. Any time we could get family together he loved it. So I have kept up the tradition. I haven\'t dated anyone yet...and I keep thinking if I every have the opportunity too, that a widower may be the better choice because we would undertand each other. I don\'t want an angry divorced man or someone with a lot of baggage...I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Go shopping and out to lunch and celebrate Smokey\'s life...and all he meant to you...Hugs, Ellen
