Doctors are Sometimes Wrong
Having been to the doctors and checked and cleared for diabetes and other sinister illnesses I was back to the urologists again last week for quite a few tests, some not very nice ones, and didn't really hear what I wanted to hear.
It was again confirmed I have a small bladder, which I already knew from childhood, as well as nerve or neurological issues which isn't telling me when I need to go. This was the same I had all through childhood which made me late getting day control and bed wetting into my teens. I had hoped for whatever reason this had somehow cleared as my bed wetting got better but apparently it's always been there which is why I kept having wetting episodes but it seems as I've got older it's now back. Add to this I have weak bladder muscles which leak making my underwear damp during the day, and the recent 'accident' I had (just wet while walking without warning or realising it until I felt it down my leg) she thinks is part of the nerve issues and is quite likely it will happen again. She's given me exercises similar to the same women do to try to strengthen or at least slow down the degradation and wants me back again to check progress.
Her bedside manner could of been better as she was quite blunt with me telling me this is likely the start of more issues and recommends wearing pads, all be it light, during the day for protection. I already have to wear a nappy to bed every night and day issues is the one thing that's frightened me ever since childhood that one day this would progress to daytime as well.
Yes, I get dampness on my underwear, but the daytime accident I did have hasn't happened again and doctors aren't always right. I'll certainly do the exercises, but the bag of samples she gave me can stay sealed in their bag, I don't want to use them.
