 I finally received my copies of all the case files from the personal injury lawyer. This lawyer has declined to take the case to sue for wrongful death of my husband.  She said she does not believe we have a viable case.  I reviewed the reports and viewed the photos and the videos. And, I have come to a conclusion: I think the first responder to the accident was not just a witness. I think he caused the accident. I think he was driving his car and got too close to my honey and my honey ran to get out of the way of the oncoming car and thus he slipped and fell on the icy surface.  The reason I think this is due to two things:  1) the discrepancy between the police reports/findings based on the video and what he said to the policeand 2) his refusal to give an official statement. The police and my lawyer both attempted numerous times to be in touch with him with no luck. Finally, he hired a lawyer who stated that Mr. - would not be able to give a statement "due to the tragic events of that day" and "was no condition to speak to the police".  Well, gee, my husband was in no condition to speak to the police either!!!  And the tragic event so that day caused me to lose my husband, his kids to lose their father, his parents to lose their son, his sisters to lose their brother. And what did Mr. -  lose??  Esp since he will not talk?? And WHY won't he talk?  I think he is hiding something! I am so angry. SO ANGRY!!!
