Discouraged!
Had a semi bad (if any are ever semi bad) panic attack this morning. I forced my self to go with my husband to pick up our daughter. Wondering if this is ever going to end! And to boot we are staying in the country and I am still panicking when I think of driving. If anyone has some suggestions that could possibly help that would be great. Still loving being home! Hope everyone that reads this has a wonderful weekend. Cheers!

I can sympathize. Driving makes me anxious, too. I try staying present in the moment. I\'ll think to myself \"see, the motion of the car is soothing\". I will try to pay more attention to my surroundings by looking for something interesting or counting things. I will bring a cold, caffeine free drink, like ice water and take sips when my anxiety starts to spike. It also helps with the dry mouth brought on by the anxiety. I will also bring a stress ball, or a stone to fidget with, and sometimes I will chew gum. It\'s not the cure, but I have found that these techniques make driving more bearable. Good luck!
Hi Hope, I sometimes have to have everything quiet in the car. Sometimes if the radio or music is on or is people are talking too much I find it difficult to relax while driving. Some people are the opposite, though - noise relaxes them. I hope you feel better soon. ((hugs))
Thank you both I will try each suggestion to see what works.
