Disappointing lack of VA support.

Well, the deadline for me getting things done by the VA has come and gone - and zero got done because the VA has federal guidelines that will not allow them to pay for medical stuff up front - they only pay a pittance, and only at some point in time after the procedures are done. Most surgeons I needed won't operate for that tiny an amount - nor for the promise of payment "at some point in time, once the procedures are completed" by the VA fee basis office.
 
So, I am stuck with the armpit "boobs" that the VA's "best plastic surgeon" left me with, as well as the attached scar tissue binding my skin to the underlying muscles making it painful and difficult to use my arms.  I did get one surgeon to examine the area - and he said "too much skin was removed, and the scarring was purposely designed to handicap the patient",.... but then refused to put all that in writing. Now, he won't respond to calls from me, or the VA at all.
 
The surgeon who operated and did this to me was Dr. Blue, in Salisbury, NC. Be warned: if you're transgender, AVOID this man!!!
